Review: I recently had my roof reshingled by Brandon O'Brien at Statewide Roofing of Texas, and the experience has been extremely frustrating. Despite assurances that the tie-in between our main roof and porch would not be an issue, it now leaks onto our decking beneath. While the leak is technically outside of the main house, it is most certainly at risk of future rot. Mr. O'Brien claims this area wasn't covered by their work, even though it clearly ties into the main roof they reshingled. His claim was that the leak is occurring on the porch roof beyond the chimney line. Needless to say, I had to wait for a good rain to remember how irritating it is to deal with irresponsible business owners. I also wanted to give Mr. O'Brien the opportunity to handle his business properly. He didn't.Ultimately, we were contracted with a 10-year warranty, but when we called him, we simply got a, "Sorry, this particular leak won't qualify...". I asked him to at least do us the courtesy of stopping by to show us where the leak was coming from just to ensure that it wasn't springing from a place that he would have been responsible for. Most egregiously, he simply sent a picture of a chimney that wasn't even ours, confusing us with another client. This lack of attention to detail is concerning enough, but we pressed on and asked him to come by to see us about the matter. He gave us a day and time, and then he no-showed, claiming that he was sick (we'll get to that part in a second). He did send a crew by to take a look, but of course, the day was completely sunny and dry. They ran a hose over the area and it took it about 10 minutes before any signs of a leak occurred. The crew, by the way, was awesome. No complaint at all about them, but we did not ever reach a final conclusion regarding the inception of the leak. We called Brandon one more time in the attempt to reschedule, but he simply replied, "I couldn't be there, I am sick." To further the absurdity of the experience, he accidentally butt-dialed at 9pm that night and the call went to voicemail. In the voicemail, we could hear sounds of casino games and party chat / laughter... We saved that one, of course (it would be funny if it were not actually true).To ensure further accuracy, I had another roofer inspect the issue. He confirmed that the leak is indeed coming from the tie-in at the main roof, not from the porch roof itself. This roofer offered to fix the issue, but said we should reach back out to Mr. O'Brien first. I notified Mr. O'Brien of these findings, but at this point, he has ignored all communication.Throughout the bumbling aftermath of this process, it felt as though Brandon's primary focus was on submitting insurance claims rather than ensuring quality workmanship. This approach suggests a prioritization of volume over customer satisfaction.While I often feel that leaving a scathing review is a complete waste of my time, this occasion nudged me in the opposite direction. In short, if I could leave a ZERO, I would... I strongly caution potential customers to thoroughly investigate before hiring Brandon O'Brien and Statewide Roofing of Texas.

Review: The roofing team did a good job but this place has pushy sales and terrible customer service. Our furnace went out after we got our new roof and when the HVAC team told us that it was due to the vent cap on the roof needing adjusting due to recent roof work, I was told they were "wrong" and categorically, rudely dismissed. I will not be using (again) or recommending this company.
